This is the kind of movie that you want to see with a group. All in all, this is a fun little romp. I saw it in a theater with a bunch of people and while not very scary, it's just so full of laughs and amazing kills. While the fx were actually pretty decent for a super-camp production, there was nothing so disgustingly gross that would make a horror fan cringe, as it's hard to get a queesy stomach when you're laughing. I guess technically, but it's really more of a flick. This is a movie for zombie lovers. Everything else was exactly what you wokld expect from a cheesy zombie flick.
Beyond the token few, however, it's not sex overload, or rampant through the film. Horrible acting, really bad choreography, terrible setting, costumes were a joke. That doesn't mean it's without its merits or wasn't worthy of watch, 'cause it totally was! Its easier to be positively suprized whit amateurs : The monster is played by Conan Stevens, and he never disappoints, he is huge and scary : Alina Carson is another of the actors making a good performance as Aneesha, cant wait to see here in another movie, hopefully a action one. Dead Squad is the epitome, the height, the very definition of zombie b-flick cheese. . But what Mia didn't plan on was falling in love in the process. I saw one of the people who gave this a rating of 1 turned it off after 30 minutes, and I get that: the stuff that makes this worth watching kicks in halfway through.
This has to be one of, if not, thee worst movie I have ever seen!! Just a few places here and there. Any zombie movie that invokes empathy toward a zombie is clever. And no, this does not contain spoilers. Same with the location and sets, well done. The plot are somewhat common, young good looking people trapped with zombies and a monster, they need to fight their way out. If you like zombies and you like camp, with a bit of gore and a couple of boobs, this'll be right up your alley.
Just thought I'd name a few. If you do, well worth watching. But when her brother breaks his leg and her parents head off on a planned vacation, Mia must reluctantly enlist the help of her brother's visiting college buddy, David Campos Carlos PenaVega , to help her pull off the event which just so happens to fall on her favorite day of the year. It's light-hearted but doesn't follow the recent zomedy trends and has its heart in the right place, so zombie fans should give it a try. It's a little slow in a couple of places, but that doesn't last too long.
The costumes and makeup are really good, for a B-movie. They did that on their own!! If you don't like camp or horror-comedy, skip it. But in all seriousness, people looking for gore should have their boats floated with this, and it looks pretty good. The director, Dominik Hauser, have goon a good job giving the movie momentum and twists. . . .
