I must say that aside from my bitter words about the problem, and my consternation, there are few things that are as relaxing as a cruise around the Croton Reservoir system with the top down. For other people searching for a replacement. I thought there was only one ground from the battery not multiple i cleared all my fault codes last week and none have come back yet the alarm still doesnt work and the central locking isnt working either. I am aware that many other owners of the same car have the same issue and seems worthy of a recall. All throughout, the car has lost power and a fluttering noise is heard from front driver side every time I change gears. Not sure which as I have to take the interior seats and back out to get to it to find out.
I'm currently finding a way to see if I can fix this myself. I tried this a few times. After you have the trunk open, check the wiring harness located in the top right corner of the trunk lid where the hinge is attached to the trunk lid. So far, it's just the temperature gauge, fuel gauge, led display, and a warning light that triggers one of my headlights to turn off, but from what I've read online, the speedometer is soon to follow. Of course no more rear window defroster but minor issue.
Replaced right side top flap motor. The car operates perfectly and the oil level is normal.
